why do the children only share the yukky things in life?

 felt

When we want them share they don't and when we don't want their bugs they are happy to share with us! last week Oli came down with bronchitis and now he has shared with Keiran and me. I have a chest and throat infection that I really could do with out! Needless to say I am feeling like a bus has run me over and not in the mood for being creative.

So where have we been and what have we been doing?

Not sure where the last 2 months have gone. Oli started school and just loves it, well most days anyway. He had a slight confrontation with a couple of girls with unkind mouths but other than that he has settled well. he enjoyed showing off in the pool at his school swim sports but unfortunately missed the duathlon due to his chest infection. After just 6 weeks he has graduated to level 2 in reading and is loving reading his books to us at home.

I have been relieving at Mauku( Oli's school) and my old school Puni. I enjoy having less pressure at work and it is making doing the school/kindy run much easier. Although a full week relieving proved to be a little much!!

My most exciting news is that I am now a Stampin' Up demonstrator and slowly getting my business up and running. I love playing with the product and the stamps are just gorgeous. I have always loved stamping and I am now loving my new stamps on my pages. keep an eye out more my new blog, I will be setting up. It will be a creative blog and will advertise all my classes, crops and product Kits!!! It will also have tips and techniques as well as some inspiration. Let me get over this bug and then I will let you know all the details!

The design team work is coming thick and fast and I am loving designing for ScrapwithVanessa and Scrapping Patch. I have just ordered some gorgeous goodies from both sites( sssshhhhh don't tell J!!). I announced on Scrappin Patch that I will be setting a challenge and giving away a RAK from my own stash. So come back later tot check out a photo of the RAK and go over to Scrapping Patch to find out about the challenge.

ScrappinwithVanessa will be having their next Cyber Crop on the weekend starting 3rdof April. It is always lots of fun chatting to the girls and is chocca block with challenges and inspiration. head over to the Site on that weekend for endless fun!!

Must dash off to school to pick up Oli but I will leave you with some pics of my last entries that won me the Stars in their Eyes comp and a couple of the boys.
seeeya xx

Oh some of the pics are at the top and I don't have time to fix-nevermind!
Oh and also... I forget to say... Oli and I went up in a helicopter for his birthday! So cool to see the house from above. Must go now byeeeeeeeeeeee

Happy Birthday to you!

I cannot believe that my little baby boy is now 5!!! It only seems like yesterday that I was very round and waiting for him to come. Although the photos do tell it was a few years ago now! Happy birthday my dear darling boy. Have a great day at school, your first day.

6 months has past since I started on the DT for white with one and now they are looking for new designers. Go have a look here at this months colours and check out the DT call!!

I have been rather busy with new scrapping pages and am so excited to have gained 1st place in the stars in your eyes comp over at scrappin' patch. Yahoo!!! I think that puts me out in the lead!!!! Here is a L.O that I did but didn't enter. And also the winning one,

I have also done a page for
Crafty SketchesThey have put up their 1st sketch challenge. Check them out here.
This is my page for the 1st sketch.

My 1st Kit arrived from Scrap with Vanessa and it took me a while to get my head around
working with just the product provided but in the end I produced 2 L.O's and a card. It is so
exciting to see my work up for sale. Lets hope someone wants to buy it!!!!
Here are a couple of sneak peaks! Go to SWV to look at all the Kits the DT have designed. Although I think the shop is having a makeover so they might not be there for a few days!

So Oli is now at school and I hope he is having an awesome day! My new Mum routine has started and I have kicked off the day with a walk and now to do some housework and bake a birthday cake. The relieving is starting to trickle in and I am booked for every Friday in March so the bank will look a little more healthy next month. Oh horrray! Not so keen on the going to work thing mind.

Right off to do my stuff xxLOl

forgot to say!

I came 1st in the Stars in Your Eyes comp over at Scrappinpatch with my Emily falkenbridge style mini book. I used photos from a photoshoot w ehad done but i only kept the proofs as I couldn't justify spending any more money.

Also, I have been awarded a couple of blog awards and i promise i wil get around to loading them up and warding to some other special people xx

So much to say where do I start?

Ok, I have so much to tell you all I am going to say very little. But what I am going to tell you is that I have found a great site called the cutestblogontheblock.com. It has great backgrounds and lots of other cute things to play with. Thanks to my fellow DT member Jules and her blog here

We are slowly getting our bodies back around to NZ time and I am not feeling quite so like a zomby!!

A big happy birthday goes out to Danice! Sorry I missed it love, I will make up for it I promise.

DH has been very busy around the property and now we have a very lovely freshly painted garage. I just can't wait to see the whole house done. Pics to follow soon!!

I am so incredibly pleased to be home. It helps that the sun is shining bright and I don't have to rush out to work. But truthfully this trip back tot he UK has reinforced how Kiwi I feel and how much I love this country. I missed the countryside, the friends and family here. There is no place like home!!! Of course it was wonderful to be with my relatives and friends in England, if only I could up and lift them here. One day someone will take up my offer to visit and maybe my cousie might even bring his partner over and marry her!! Hee hee ROFL xx Lol Marc

Right on with the job of tidying up Xmas pressies and finding homes for all the new toys

Oh this photo of me was taken by Oli on his new camera. I am really quite liking his composition. Unfortunately the quality of the photos are not great but it is a kids camera after all!!!

busy times have been had!

I promise not to go blabber on too much but it sure has been a busy few days.

Tuesday was really a very sad day; I went up to Nuneaton to be with my dear friend Sarah on the day she said her final goodbye to her father. It brought back memories of my Dad's funeral and made me look back a little. However, I was pleased to know that I was of some help and support to the family. My love is with all the family and thinking of you at this sad time. xxLol

Wednesday was when my body decided it couldn't fight the bugs the boys have had and I was quite unwell. Dispite it all I met up witht girls in London for dinner. The biggest suprise was to meet up with an old school friend Hadleigh. We have not seen each other since high school and many memories and news were shared!! As the girls predicted we all toodled off from Leicester square to China town for dinner. Unfortunately I then spent the rest of the night battling the bugs and I can assure you I hadn't had too much wine!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday was a day in bed for me and feeling a little sorry for myself. I have say I was starting to wonder why on earth I travelled across the world to the coldest of weather. We have seen readings of -6 degrees on the thermometer.

Friday I was determined to get the boys back up to London and we had a wonderful day seeing the sites. Unfortunately the London Eye was closed but Oliver still enjoyed seeing Big Ben, going on a river boat and seeing the Beef Eaters.

This weekend has been fun packed socialising with cousins in Essex and visiting a couple of the local pubs. I nearly fell over backwards when it was my turn to buy the round! We have also caught up with our good friends Dee and James who are excitedly anticipating the birth of their baby in April.

So that's it in a nutshell and now I leave you with some photos of our fun.

bye xx
